Can you navigate in an Excel worksheet without scrolling? My datafile is very
long and I'd like to go from last names starting with A to names starting M. |

You could select the whole column and do a Find (Ctrl F) for M* with 'Find Entire Cells Only' selected. -- Andy. "johnson.82" wrote in message ... One quick way to get where you want is to:
1)Select the column with the names. 2)Press [Ctrl]+F. (or EditFind) 3)Enter the beginning of what you're looking for followed by and asterisk: Example: Names beginning with G would be entered G* 4)Click the box to "Match entire contents of cell" 5)Click OK Excel will bring you to the 1st name beginning with G.
