Hi,

In cell C1, enter B1-A1. Assuming 7/11/2008 is in cell B1 and the other
date is in cell A1. Format C1 as general

You may want to skip the +1, Bob?

Hi

If the earlier date is in cell A1, and the later date in cell B1
=B1-A1
Format the cell with the formula as General.

If you want to enter dates in the formula, you need to enclose the dates
within double quotes
="07/11/2008"-"04/11/2008"
and give the later date first.

Rather than typing dates it is better to use the Date function
=DATE(2008,11,7)-DATE(2008,11,4)
