Default CountIf cell referencing

I have a database and i want to summarize how many of certain products were
returned. my dilemma is that i need to reference a cell that only lists the
style name, where the claims are listed at the sku level. is there a way to
apply the *pen* logic to a cell reference?

Chris,

Remind me what SKU level *pen* logic is. I think we would have a better
chance if we saw your data layout.
