Hello - Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of nested
subtotals Excel will display when the the details are hidden? I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of payroll information, per division. I created subtotals for each group of divisions (Total, Average, Count), and nested subtotals for departments within each division (Total, Average, Count). When all details are shown, all subtotal values show - whether a subtotal, or nested subtotal. When I hide the details (by clicking the previous number in the outline area), all of the subtotals for the Division show, however, only two nested subtotals show per department. As an experiment, I added a fourth nested subtotal to the departments - when I hide the details, I only get one of the nested subtotals per department (the first nested subtotal that was performed). So, by adding a fourth nested subtotal, this reduced even further the number of nested subtotals that displayed when details were hidden. Is there a limit to the number of nested subtotals that will display when the details are hidden? I haven't found another post to match this question - and wasn't exactly sure which group within Excel to post my question, so I apologize, if I'm asking within the wrong group. Thanks for any info! I'm using Excel 2007. |
