I am trying to use the PROPER formula to correct the case of names in a data
base. The formula will not calculate. I have set the Calculation button in tools options to automatic. I have also tried the CTRL+` step. This happens whether the cells are formatted to be locked, unlocked, hidden or not. |

Make sure your font supports both upper and lower case characters. Some
fonts do not. -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200800 "AnneFromBVMktg" wrote: I am trying to use the PROPER formula to correct the case of names in a data base. The formula will not calculate. I found it! Turns out the cells must be formatted as General rather than
Text. Thanks "AnneFromBVMktg" wrote: I am trying to use the PROPER formula to correct the case of names in a data base. The formula will not calculate.
