CAn Excel be used to trap data in a similar fashion to Monarch?

In some sense.
It is possible to detect when a cell achieves a certain value, either thruough manual input or via calculation, and to take action when the event occurs. These are Worksheet Event macros. VERY limited. Such as using the Find( ) function to see if a particular

Thanks for the quick response but it does not help. i should have been more
specific. In monarch, you are able to trap report headings and column headings which allow you to "trap" only certain and it filters data that repeats itself such as page numbers, titles, etc. -- Allan "Gary Brown" wrote: VERY limited. Define "trap" without using the word "trap". Maybe show some data and the results you desire. |
