Default Drop-Down Lines

I am trying to create a document with drop down boxes in excel. I go to the
Data menu, click Validation and then Settings. I go to the Allow box and
choose List. Then I go down to the source box and that's where I get lost.
I don't know how to get my list to show from here.

Double-click the red arrow to the right of the Source box, select the
cells where your list is, Enter, OK.

The source can be a range on the worksheet like A1:A10

You can type that into the source box like =$A$1:$A$10

Or a named range on another worksheet in which case you enter

=MyList whener My List is the named range on the other sheet.

Or you can enter the source as comm delimited values like

horse,cat,dog,mongoose

For more on this and a video should you choose, see Debra Dalgleish's site
