You could create a pivot, placing the "Name" col into the ROW and DATA areas.
The ROW area will return the uniques listing that you're after. -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 Downloads: 15,500, Files: 352, Subscribers: 53 xdemechanik --- "Steve" wrote: A.R.W. Can you let me know how to do that? Here's some easy steps (in xl2003): Assume names data in A2 down, with a col header in A1: Name Select col A, click Data Pivot Table. Click Next Next. In step 3, click Layout, then drag n drop "Name" into the ROW and DATA areas. Click OK Finish. Hop over to the pivot in the new sheet to the left for the results. -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 Downloads: 15,500, Files: 352, Subscribers: 53 xdemechanik --- |
