Default Validation in IF string

Does anyone know how to include a LIST (Validation) in an If string?

e.g. =if (J12="M"; "N.A"; LIST["Pool balance"; "Account balance"])

i.e. if J12 not equal to M then I would like the user to chose between "pool
balance" and "accountr balance"

/ J
