Default Source for General V LookUp Tutorial??

I have "messed with" VLOOKUP several times and can sometimes get it to work
for me. Other times, my data winds up scrambled or other errors occur. I
have read the Excel VLOOKUP help (several times); but I'm looking for a link
to a site that would take me through the process step by step, with advice on
common mistakes. Can one or two of you possibly post your favorite VLOOKUP
How-To sites?

I've use the help menu but I'm looking for something more detailed than the
help menu. Something that provides multiple examples. Something that will
warn against mistakes; like failing to use absolute cell references in the
VLOOKUP reference table. Looking for details...
