Data Validation Not Erroring with List
I have been trying to use the Data Validation to check manually entered data
against a single-column list on another worksheet of the workbook. I can show it sees the list, since the correct list items show in the drop down. But the Data Validation does not error when invalid data is manually entered. The data is text data. |

Data Validation Not Erroring with List
Select the cell with the validation.
Goto DataValidation Select the Error Alert tab Make sure "Show error alert...." is checked -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "OyBouTJ" wrote in message ... The "Show error alert..." is checked. But no error is generated, really
