Default Apostrophe Infront of Text & Numbers

I am running excel 2003. When I enter anything (numbers, letters, ect) into
excel; excel automatically puts an 'apostrophe' infont of it:

Example:

The cell should look like this:

123

But it appears like this:

'123

This prohibits me from doing V-Look Up's, ect.

Please HELP!
