Default How do i use subtotals to display two different things within eac.

I have a worksheet with ballances, agency names and PI names. How can i set
up a subtotal that can display the ballance for the each agency AND the
balance for each PI within the agency? It seems i can only do 1.

You can use a Pivot Table to summarize the data. There are instructions
in Excel's Help, and Jon Peltier has information and links:

Hi

if you're using Data / Subtotals - ensure that you've sorted your data using
Data / Sort with Agency selected in the first drop down box and PI selected
in the second. Then choose data / subtotals - run the subtotals for Agency,
then choose data / subtotals again - change the first drop down to PI name
and then UNTICK replace current subtotals

Cheers

How can you get it to show both the Agency name and the PI names? It only
shows the PI names (actually different for me as I am not the original
poster).
