Lets say sheet 1 looks like this inv Cost centre 1 10 2 11 3 12 4 1 5 3 6 155 7 123 8 134 9 176 and sheet 2 looks like this inv Cost Centre 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Put this in b2 of sheet 2 and drag down =VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$B$10,2,FALSE) Mike "jono" wrote: i have 2 spreadsheets, with similar data. one sheet has invoice and cost centre and the newer sheet just has the invoice number. i need to compare and assign cost centre code to the invoice numbers in the 2nd sheet. |
