Hi Wayne

is it a password you put on via file / save as / tools ...
or is it a worksheet / workbook level password (tools / protection / protect
sheet - workbook)?

cheers

For a worksheet or workbook password:

for a file password, there's no free software that I know of, but see
the links at

http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/fileandvbapwords.html

for relatively inexpensive solutions.
