Find "Look in" box does not show 'values' on 'formulas'
When working in Excel worksheet, I choose Find or Find and Replace, click on
Options Button, go to Look in drop down list box and only Formulas is a choice. There should be Values. Is there a setting somewhere that i need to change? |

Find supports looking in values, formulas or comments.
Replace only supports looking in formulas. (Constant values are considered formulas in this case, too.) Is there a setting somewhere that i need to change? The choices really mean this: Formulas = whatever is typed into the cell Values = the value/text returned from a formula in a cell Comments = comments So, Formula will work on values or text that are typed in manually, it doesn't need to be switched to Values for this. And you can't do a Replace on a Value, as defined above. Since it doesn't actually exist as typing. That's why it isn't available. Make sure you are only in Find, and it should allow you to select Values or Comments. |
