Default How do I enter a conditional formula?

I have never entered a formula before and can't figure it out with the help
menu. I want to enter a formula such that if column B = Project Manager then
column J = 20.00 or if column B = technical coordinator then colmn J = 10.00.
I have about eight things column B could equal to make column J
automatically put in a number.
