Did you try to create a new hyperlink to confirm if your existing links that
are defective rather than the application's ability to open a browser session? (To check this in Excel 2003, choose Insert - Hyperlink from the Excel menu. In the dialogue box, make sure "Existing File or Web page" is selected then select "Browsed Pages" and choose any one of the previously browsed web pages that appears in the list. Click OK to exit the dialogue box. Now click on the newly created hyperlink to see if it works.) If may also be helpful to know which version of Excel you are running. "Dave Brooks" wrote in message ... I recently had a problem when I was viewing a website and a number of things happened to my PC. Most I have fixed, but one remains. I have many Excel spreaksheets with hyperlinks to .jpg files for many years with no problems. The links are ok in the spreadsheets. I use to click on a cell with a hyperlink to a .jpg file and IE would open to display the picture. This function is no longer working. Can someone help me and tell me what to do to fix the problem. I tried help and there is nothing dealing with this subject that I could find. Many thanks for any help to fix the problem. I am running XP on a Dell PC. |
