Default HOW DO I CHANGE THE AUTOMATIC BORDER COLOR IN EXCEL?

In Excel, under Format/cells/border - the automatic color indicates "black";
however, in the "Style" preview box all items displayed are in Grey. I have
to go into the color drop down menu and click on "black" each time.

How can I correct this?

I'm not 100% on what your after
but if you select the cells you want
then go to
FORMATCELLSBORDER
Select the color you want "black"
the select from 'presets' (still in Border option)
'Outline' and 'Inside' it will alter the border colour to black

Hope this helps
