Default Excel 2003 Data Import from SQL

Hi - please forgive the second post, but I really need to resolve this issue.

Our DBA is importing data via SQL into my Excel spreadsheet, however the
data starts after all of the formulas, validations and shading end on the
spreadsheet, even though the data does not populate any of these columns.
Surely there is a way around this, that doesnt mean we need to copy the data
to an unformatted spreadsheet, then programmatically put all of the shading,
formulas, validation rules back in?

Would really appreciate some assistance on this.

Thanks in advance
