Default vlookup and sorting and references.

I have a data table that has a field with a formula that includes multiple
vlookups and multiple tabs (the array is on a worksheet tab). The lookup
value is another cell in the record and that's compared to a value in the
array. I'm not using absolute references in the lookup value because I'm
checking each record/row in the data table. but I AM using absolute refs in
the array (because we don't want each row to advance to a different area of
the reference array)...

Is there another way to lookup, but not lose my lookup value when I resort
the table?

Thank you!
Derek
