Text and the #VALUE error
Is there a way that you can use text in a cell that is part of a formula
such that the formula returns 0 instead of a "#VALUE" error? I would like to be able to insert memos for extraordinary events which would be displayed with the rest of the sheet. Thanks Harry |

What formula are you using now? Some functions like average and sum (in
simple form) will ignore cells that contain text, but apparently your formula is returning #VALUE when you enter text. "Harry Garrett" wrote in message ...
