Default Column1 and Column2

I have funky column headings. Not sure how they got there -- I expect it was
an accident.
in A1 it says "Column1", in B1, "Column2"

(all the letters -- aka Column Headings are still there (A, B, C etcetera)

I can't delete these "Columnx's" -- any ideas?

thanks,
beata

They are not column headings, they are cell contents. Have you tried to
delete the contents? If so, what response did you get? If you can't delete
the cell contents, perhaps the worksheet is protected? Look at Tools/
Protection ... and see whether you have the option to Unprotect Sheet.

It was weird. They were not contents. And/or I could not delete the
contents. Nor was it protected. I did random searches... and something
suggested it may have been a "list" that was created.. likely in error. So I
kept moving the list.. to a place that didn't matter -- and then I could
delete.

I still don't get it -- but it's ok now.
