Default Closing excel

When closing a 2003 excel workbook, it requires two clicks, one for the Red
Box at the upper right corner of the workbook, with the white X in the
middle; and one for the Grey box below it, that is a part of the tool bar
containing File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Data, Window, and Help;
that has a black X inside it. I would like to be able to close them both by
clicking the red box with the white X once. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Default Closing excel

hi
the white x in the red box closes excel. the x under the white x closes the
workbook. if you have saved all of your workbooks prior to clicking the white
x then excel should close. if you haven't saved then you will get a reminder
box asking if you want to save any unsaved workbooks. clicking yes will save
and close excel.
