How do I create a column within the Pivot Table that will access absolute
cells outside the table but within the same worksheet. The Pivot table gives me a count of hours by person and now I need to create a column that will show total cost of those hours using rates that I have created in cells with an absolute rate outside the table. |

You can't refer to cells outside the pivot table when creating formulas
in a pivot table. Perhaps you can enter the rates in the source data, and do the calculations there. Then add the calculated valued to the pivot table.
