I have no idea what you're doing wrong. On sheet1, I define the name
MyRange and in the refers to box I type =!$A$1:$A$10 and when I use the name MyRange on sheet1 refers to A1:A10 on sheet1. When I use the name MyRange on sheet2, it refers to A1:A10 on sheet2.
