I created a series of macros each associated with a check box. the macro
simple copies a value from one cell to the cell adjacent to the check box.

I have 35 of these check boxe and each of them require their own macro.
Hoever when I reached the 11th box, the record function was grayed out. Is
there a limit to the number of macros? If so, is there a way to increase it?

Don't know much about VBA but it sounds like a bit of
overkill with all the macros. You can do this very easily
with a simple IF formula.

I'll assume that if your checkbox is checked that triggers
the macro to copy a cell.

Why not just link the checkbox to a cell and set format
control value to CHECKED. Format the linked cells text
color to be the same as the fill color.

Assume A1 is the linked cell:

IF(A1=TRUE,C1,"")
