I have two lists of customers for 2006 and 2007. I want to compare
these two to see which ones match and which ones are lost and how many new ones we acquired. The format is: Customer Name(2007) Customer Name(2006) A A B C C D The list is about 30,000 names. I already did a sort on the two lists but I am having trouble figuring out how many we retained, how many we lost and how many we acquired. Thanks RB |

vlookup will get you what you need. Run a search on help for it and it
should tell you everything you need to know. If you are still having troubles please post the formula that you are using so that I can take a look at it. Thanks RB- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I am really not able to format this properly. Could use some help please. What I want to say is: if a customer in 2006 existed in 2007, then give me the name and the month that he last made a purchase, else tell me that I have lost that customer, else if he did not exist in 2006 but existed in 2007, then I have acquired a customer and tell me his ID and the month he last made a purchase. The format is Customer Name(2007) Month he last bought in 2007 Customer name in 2006 |
