Default using a formula for a column or range

I am trying to do a spreadsheet with this funtion

=A1*D1
and not type this in 900 times ex:

Default using a formula for a column or range

Type A1*D1 into the cell, press enter, select the cell again, move the
cursor to the lower right corner of the cell and click and hold the left
mouse button, then just drag the formula down to wherever you want it to
stop and the formula will change with each row
