Default Correlating Color and dates on calendar speadsheet

I have a 2 year calendar speadsheet that automatically changes as you choose
which month/year to start. On the side i have created a reminder list for
"Baby Immunization" dates. These are set up as functions so as you change the
baby's birth date the other dates change to show the correct date to go in
for an immunization.
I would like to correlate these dates with the correct date in the calendar
box with a color background so it is visually user friendly.
No one seems to know how this might be done. I have already looked at
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm and it hasnt helped thus far for
what i am wanting to do for my company. Any clues?

FormatConditional Formatting should do the trick based upon a date or other
criteria(on).

how many different colors do you want to use?
How many dates do want to identify?
How many babies are you following on each sheet?
How do you identify what dates are to be used (Birthdate+90 days? etc)
are the dates in the calendar actually dates or numbers?
How is the two month calendar formatted?
