Default Copy Cells

I have two workbooks open side by side and I am copying cells from one to the
other. When I select various cells using the CRTL key, I get the range of
all cells ( from first to last) when I PASTE rather than just the cells I
selected. I have done this before, Is there something "ON" that I'm missing?

Default Copy Cells

You cannot use the CTRL key to select non-contiguous cells and copy them.

Excel will throw an error message "that command cannot be used on multiple
selections"

So what exactly are you doing with the CTRL key and which cells are you
selecting?

Default Copy Cells

Are you copying and pasting a range with hidden rows in it? If so select
the range the select Edit Goto Special and select Visible Cells Only
then copy and paste that.
