When copying & pasting dates in a few of my worksheets, they change to one
day and four years backwards, ie: 07/15/1979 changes to 07/14/1975. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you, |

Some of your Workbooks are set up to use the 1904 date system, others are
not, so they default to the 1901 date system. You'll find the setting under Tools-Options. Not sure which tab for Excel versions prior to 2007 (I've been upgraded to Excel 2007 - there it is under Excel Options on the Advanced tab) "CAMiller" wrote: When copying & pasting dates in a few of my worksheets, they change to one day and four years backwards, ie: 07/15/1979 changes to 07/14/1975. It sounds like the source is set to use the 1904 date system.
Goto ToolsOptionsCalculation tab1904 date system Uncheck that setting. Be careful though, this will change all the dates already entered. This will add 4 years to your existing dates. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "CAMiller" wrote in message ...
