Default Formula Cannot Be Converted - Function Not Available

I have a user who has reported the following error:

*****
Excel 2003 displays the following error when saving a document:
A formula in a cell (Name:[PPE08&09_LAD]FY08!Print_Titles) could not be
converted because it contains a function that is not available in the file
format to which you are saving. It repeats unless you say no to report each
error. User deleted Named Ranges, Print_Titles was one with no help. I can
make the error go away by Tools, Options, Transitions tab and unchecking
Transition formula evaluation on each sheet but not sure if that's the way
to go about this. All the help points to saving as previous version which
she is not. It's a preexisting 2003 xls she edits and saves periodically
under new name.
*****

I am currently waiting for the user to send me a copy of the file, but off
the top of my head I'm not sure what would cause this, so while I am waiting
for the file I thought that I would pose the question here with the hopes
that by the time I receive the file someone here will have suggested
something that will at least get me started in my troubleshooting.

In re-reading the above, I wonder if the user is actually using Excel 2007.
Our standard is Excel 2003, but some people have started moving to 2007, so
maybe the user is misreporting the version of Excel that is being used.

Any other thoughts?
