I have a list of folders and the numbers of images they contain entered into
excel in two adjucent colums, so for example folder A contains 25 files, B contains 32 etc. What I would like to know is if it is possible to use Excel to dort or split this list into distinct groups that conatin and equal number of images files, based on either a set number of images per folder or set number of folders. TO make this clearer below is a bullet point of the key ideas: -Start with a sheet containing two columns of Data -Column A is a list of Various folder names -Column B is a list of the number of image files in each -I want to split this list into groups of folders whose sum of the images contained in each group is equal, i.e. 10 folders which together contain 1600 images, split into groups of folders that each contain as near as possible to 400 images each -I want this sorting to be done by giving a value for the numbers of groups to spliut the list into, ie 1600 images split equall between 6 groups... -or by giving the number of images I want coantained in each group, i.e 1600 images split so that 160 pictures are in each group I hope this make my request clear. If anyone can help, pleasue reply as soon as possible. Thank You. |
