I have 2007 and have imported data from a data base. I want to use the
subtotal, but it is greyed out. the only 'issue' on can find is that my data may be defined as a list (from searches on the internet). I don't know how to check this... I just want to use the subtotal.... "Mike H" wrote: Unprotect the sheet maybe? Mike "Graeme" wrote: I have a sheet that already has a subtotal function. I used the Data/Subtotals command and thought myself very clever. Now I wish to extensively modify the sheet and completely re-do the subtotals. However the option is now 'greyed out' in the drop down menu and unavailable. Why? How can I enable it again? TIA. Graeme |
