Default TIME SHEET FORMULA CONDITIONS

If possible can a formula used to calculate employee payroll time in and out
be directed to follow certain conditions.

Ex: Employee (work schedule 9am-5pm)

TIME IN: 9:03 AM
TIME OUT: 4:49 PM

EXCEL FORMULA WILL CALCULATE THIS TIME IN HOURS
?- EMPLOYEE IS LATE CAN EXCEL BE CONDITIONED INPUT TIME IN TO THE FOLLOWING
QUARTER 9:15 AM
?- EMPLOYEE PUNCHED OUT EARLY THIS TIME CAN EXCEL GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS
QUARTER

IN OTHER WORDS CAN THE FORMULA BEING TOLD TO CALCULATE FOR A 24 HOUR DAY BUT
CALCULATE TO AND BACK TO THE QUARTERS (15, 30, 75 AND ON THE HOUR)

Time in: D1
Time out: D2

=FLOOR(D2,15/1440)-CEILING(D1,15/1440)

This formula will give you the hours in date format. If you want to
get a number of hours (e.g. 7.75 for 7:45) then

=24*FLOOR(D2,15/1440)-CEILING(D1,15/1440)

Format as General.

Does this help?
