Data Validation
Is there a way to copy data to a sheet and retain the data validation
criteria for the cells in that sheet? When I copy the data into the sheet it overrides the data validation function. I would like to copy data to a row and prompt the user if the data does't match. Ex: cell A3= ISTEXT(REVIEW) Thanks |

Data Validation
Instead of doing a <copy and then <paste to the destination cell, do
<copy, then move cursor to the destination cell and Edit | Paste Special | Values (check) | OK then <Esc or <Enter. This will preserve any formatting and data validation you have in the destination cell. Hope this helps. Data Validation
If cell A3 has the data validation and I select A1 and right click to copy;
A1 is highlighted; I place the cursor on A3 and select Edit-Paste Special-Select the Values button and Ok, data validation doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again for your help "Pete_UK" wrote: Instead of doing a <copy and then <paste to the destination cell, do <copy, then move cursor to the destination cell and Edit | Paste Special | Values (check) | OK then <Esc or <Enter.
