I've got a co-worker trying to update links (by changing the linked workbook)
in an Excel 2003 workbook. Whenever she selects the file she wants to link to, Excel goes to "Not responding" status and she has to shut it down via Task Manager. We can get around the problem by moving the desired file into a folder with a much shorter name (we use folder names like "May_03_Test_Version_2_With_Updated_Assumption s"). Is there a length limit to folder/path names you can have on linked workbooks? I've never seen something like this before. TIA -- Hmm...they have the Internet on COMPUTERS now! |
