Hi all
This sounds such an easy question but I can't find it anywhere...... In Excel, I always go into page setup and alter the margins because the default ones are too big. Is there a facility in Excel which allows you to change the actual default margins, rather than changing my workbooks each time? Thank you. Louise |

You can set up a blank workbook exactly how you want it, with headers,
footers, margins, font size etc. Then use File | Save As (file type Template) to save this with the name Book.xlt in your Excel startup folder. Then when you open Excel or ask for a new workbook this template will be loaded. You can do a similar thing with a single sheet workbook and save that as Sheet.xlt, so in future when you insert a new worksheet this format will be loaded. Hope this helps. I thought that would be the only way around it. It's much easier in word
isnt it? Thanks very much.
