In xl2k you can sort your list "ascending" and at each change in the first letter of your list, insert a cell and place the appropriate letter. In your dropdown cell first just enter the first letter and then click the dropdown arrow and you are at the beginning of that part of your list. Does that help? Mike Rogers "lizM" wrote: I creasted a dropdown list with over 8000 items. The list works well but I cannot search it by selecting an item then typing a letter eg 'm' should allow me to see items begining with m etc. I overcame the problem by creating an Entry Form and the list box works fine on that but I am curious as to why this happened. |
