Default What formula do I use for copying cell information between workboo

To explain my predicament: I am the manager of a football team. I have 2
workbooks, one for player appearances, the other for player goals. On the
'players goals' workbook, I have the position the player is in our all-time
goals list, their name, number of goals scored, I have created a 'goal
percentage' column, and finally, I have a column for their appearances. A
simple calculation to divide the number of goals by the number of appearances
works out the goal percentage.

What I am trying to do is to copy over the information on the Appearances
workbook for individual players into the Appearance column on the goalscorers
workbook. I know how to copy over one cell to another between workbooks but
my problem is that whenever a person's position on the Appearances workbook
changes, ie because they have made more appearances, if I move that person up
a place, the formula on the goalscorers workbook for their appearances
doesn't move with it. Any ideas?
