I often use PivotTables to count events that occur on specific dates. The
PivotTable only shows those dates that have at least one event associated with them; however, I am also interested in seeing which dates had no events. Is there a way to force the pivot table to show the dates as a series, so that dates with 0 events are displayed? For example, if I want to show the number of patients admitted from 12/1/06 to 12/7/06, but in fact there were only admissions on 12/1, 12/3, and 12/5, the pivottable will show me only 3 dates, but I want to see all 7 dates in the range. |

In order to see the dates with no patients admitted, you'd have to have those
dates in your source range. "KFuda" wrote: I often use PivotTables to count events that occur on specific dates. Hi
Double click on field, bottom left of dialogue, select "Show Items with no data" -- Regards Roger Govier "KFuda" wrote in message ... I tried this, but it did not force the pivottable to display the entire range
of dates. It displays only those dates for which there is actually data. Turn on the 'Show items with no data' option that Roger described
Then, right-click a cell in the date field of the pivot table ChooseGroup and Show DetailGroup Select Years and Days, click OK KFuda wrote: I tried this, but it did not force the pivottable to display the entire range of dates.
