Thanks Bob but can I now drop into columns according to other
categories? In columns X to AC I am adding values from column G according to category with reference to column D. That part is OK I think, but then I want to further drop these totals according to category held in row 3 T to AB with reference to the drop down list in column O. If I get the principle right I can then make it more user friendly. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong in cell Z8 which returns "#value"? |

Oscar,
Are you saying that you now want to make the sum dependent on two conditions? I think it might help if you gave some example data, and required results. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Oscar" wrote in message ups.com... Oscar,
That is the same as you used previous post. Why don't you mail me the spreadsheet and I'll see if I can help then. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Oscar" wrote in message oups.com...
