Using cell references 'Sheet 1'!B15 and 'Sheet1!H11. The first reference
does NOT work (shows the formula not the data) while the second one DOES work. What do I need to check to make the first one work? I've changed the format in which I entered the reference but nothing works. Thanks in advance for any help. -- RJ |

Hi RJ,
You want to put an = sign in front. If you are not using an equal sign then you are using Transition options and you want to be using Excel not Lotus 1-2-3. Perhaps you have the cell or column formatted as text. Make sure you don't have a space in front of the formula. Make sure that you have calculation turned on Tools, Options, Calculation, calculation: automatic You can place an = sign in a cell then click on another cell elsewhere such as in another sheet then return back to where you started and the formula will be filled in.
