Default auto hide unhide in grey rows above how did I manage this

I have 2 grey lines above the grid which if you click on the minus auto hides
columns.
If you click on the plus it auto unhides them.

I did this accidentally how did I do it and how do I undo it

1. Click on + to unhide the columns.
2. Select all the columns in the "group"
3. Data-Group and Outline-Ungroup
4. Select "Columns" in the dialog that pops up
