Default How do I add functions to the sum dropdown menu?

I'm doing a lot of stats in excel where I use st dev and median values. The
dropdown menu attached to the sum button doesn't contain those functions
(only average, min, max, etc.).

Customizing toolbars won't let me into the menus "far enough", if you know
what I mean, to add them.

Can this be done??

Why not just add them to right-click, Cell?

The AutoSum button has only a limited number of functions.
For all the functions use the Function Insert tool. In Excel 2003 click the
"fx " to the right of the Formula Bar, or use menu command Insert |
Function.

You are going to find Excel a bit exasperating until you know some basics.
May I suggest you get a book such as Excel for Dummies to get started?
best wishes
