You can use a Worksheet_Change macro. The code you write in that macro would display a message box whenever the contents of that cell are changed to either "partial" or "no". The message box would display whatever message you want. What do you mean by "fill in some narrative.."? Provide more detail about what you want. HTH Otto "Pasty" wrote in message ...
