I am having a problem where the cell value is changing every month, but I want to know the January value of a cell, in any month.

Couple of ideas:

Copy the jan sheet to sheet2 and in sheet1!C7=C6-shee2!C6 and copy across

or insert a new row and record the jan figures on sheet1 (which you can hide
if you want to).
