I entered rows of data and color coded the text in the rows. How do I sort
the rows by color

You need a macro: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/SortByColor.htm

Excel doesn't have a built in sort by color capability.

Excel 2007 claims to be able to do that. Prior versions cannot sort by color.
