In Excel 2003, I can't figure out the fomula for a company that has full time
and part time employees who recieve family leave time. For full time
employees who have been employed 1 year or more they get 5 days, if they have
been employed less than 1 year they get 3 days. For part time employees who
have been employed 2 or more years they get 3 days. This needs to be
formulated in 1 cell. Can anybody help me, I'm going crazy with all the
errors in my Syntax.

What's your setup like? Do you have a cell to designate the employee's
status: full/part time? Do you have a cell for their length of employment?

The following structure should help:

=if(status="full time", if(lengthOfService=1, 5, 3),
if(lengthOfService=2, 3, 0))

Let's say column B is full time employees, and column C is part time employees.

Formula for full time employee
=IF(B2=1,5,3)

Formula for part time employee
=IF(C2=2,3,0)
